Summer Happenings...2010

At first Jadyn wasn't really "getting" soccer - he only wanted to be goalie and stand there. Until...I told him I would pay him $1 for every goal he made. Well, let's just say he made two goals in one game and did pretty well as a forward.

Kaelyn was sooo cute "playing" soccer. Acutally, I mean she was cute following everyone else around the field trotting at her non-go-getter pace. It was fun for her nonetheless!

J, K, and C waiting for the Homecoming parade to begin. No one does homecoming like the RV Elks...they don't mess around.

Our Florida Trip

Jared trying to look like he's having a good time (standing in front of an ancient temple at Universal Studios) - I still love the little party-pooper!

I'm trying to laugh about how sick I'm going to get on the Harry Potter ride - the meds I took were a one shot deal. Luckily, this was it. I just had to go to Hogwarts! Jared will tell you that I'm a witch all of the time...automatic entry!  (No, not really...he's too good to me!)

Cool shades, I know. We went to Kennedy Space center and we took this before we watched one of their Imax movies...so cool! Too bad it was drizzling most of the day - dang you, Tropical Depression!

Ummm, yeah, these rocket boosters were huge! I think this was one of the first rockets they put into orbit (don't quote me on this...my brain has really, really short term memory).

Again, you see what the tropical depression did to my sunny beach days. Amazingly enough, the water was warm! This picture was taken right outside of our hotel - awesome! I liked Daytona.

Two "Batmans" and the "Dancing Queen"

A yummy Halloween tradition--making carmel apples. We topped them with everything from marshmallows, m&m's, nuts, sprinkles, etc... The kids loved making them just about as much as eating them...well, almost.

Jadyn has been Batman for 4 yrs now and Camdyn 2yrs. I have made good use of those costumes and saved some money along the way (yes, I'm cheap). But hey, no one else knows and they still get the goods, which is what really counts, right?!

The generic "eerie" jack-o-lantern. I don't know how to do anything else, okay?!

The Joys of Fall

It amazes me how gorgeous our fall is here - shimmering gold leaves, speckled with reds and browns. God's hand is everywhere. I'm so grateful to live where I do and can share childhood experiences with my children!

I don't know where Kaelyn was (probably looking for leaves or for bugs...), but Camdyn and Jadyn have decided that riding bikes through the mud is a treat! I like it too!

I was able to ride my bike, with Camdyn in tow, and lead my brother and his wife on top of a knoll overlooking grassy flat surrounded by tree-covered hills and mountains. Awesome view!
