Arkansas Trip
Our trip to Arkansas was a 'quick' trip (traveled a total of 6 days there and back and only 2 days in Arkansas), but we managed to experience different things along the way and in Eureka Springs:
1. Onyx Cave (local cave in Eureka Springs where they mined onyx [hence the name] - it was okay, but it wasn't Carlsbad...)
2. Thorncrown Chapel (my brother was married here on 10-25 - the reason for our long sojourn)
3. Cadillac Ranch (just outside of Amarillo, TX - cars stuck in the ground and everyone stops, and has for years, to spray paint different things on the cars; we wrote our names on a few of them)
4. McCall's Pumpkin Patch (located in Moriarty, NM - millions of pumpkins across acres of land; we got to bring back four pumpkins for Halloween)

Picking Pinons

Jared and I decided to take the kids on the mountain to pick pinions. I have never done this before, that I can recall, but it was a good time. After a two day picking-fest we had a gallon-size container filled w/ pinon nuts. We also drove around the base of Escadilla and Terry Flat to view the changing Aspen leaves - it was beautiful!
